Mentoring Workers for Global Harvest

--Missionary Training Camp--

“The essence of motivation is knowing where you are going and how you will get there.” Peter Daniels

*A Consultation to Prepare for Missions Work.

Though information is important and we give it, it is not our major goal. Our major goal has to do with character assessment and development, faith and spiritual anointing laid on the tracks of practical advice. Our dream is for more power-filled workers to be sent who would require less maintenance on the field and have greater longevity.

Obedience to the call is a step of faith. Few seem
to take that step but the ones who do need help.

This four day consultation puts the light on many issues
relating to a persons readiness. It is like bringing a person into a strange room and turning the lights on for a few seconds. The person may not know everything there is to know about the room but he gets the idea of how it is laid out. He knows what areas to avoid, he can see how to best move through it. He will see if and where there is food, or where there may be danger. At the completion of the camp he will have a heart understanding of what is needed in missions and know how to proceed.

*The Design of Elijah Company Training...

Elijah Company Missions Training is a condensation of various topics which are relevant to missions work.

The trainers are experienced and professional.

*We Believe....

God has a special design for each person. Missions is broad in its scope. There are many opportunities, many needs, many ways to prepare.

The core belief behind Elijah Company is that God does the training. Scripture gives the basis. The Holy Spirit gives the anointing. The agents are those who have already walked down the path to show others the way.

Mentorship is crucial. Jesus modeled a fatherly lifestyle. It was by this that He prepared the twelve. Elijah Company offers the possibility to develop relationships which lead to personal mentorship.

*Starting in 1999...

We realized that there were a lot more people claiming to be called to missions than were actually going. Even though there are great things happening in the world there are vast amounts of people who still need to be reached. “The workers are few.”

In the movie “Castaway”, a man is marooned on a tiny Pacific Island, not knowing where he is or how to get help. Many Christians are indeed called to the mission field but are lost in a sea of options and challenges without “chart or compass”. The camps “chart the course” providing motivation and guidance.

*A Mission Leader Said...

“Elijah Company Missions Training is a practical down-to-earth training that may make the difference between success and failure on the missions field. We highly recommend it to any missions candidates before departing for the field.”
(Herbert Horn - Former Wycliff missionary, Founder and director of “Helping Hands Cuba” )

*Former Trainees Now Working in Central Asia Say...

“Missions Training Camp has given me the steps I need to take to get to the field and the directions regarding how to take those steps.”
(Camp participant is now working among an unreached people group)

What Others Are Saying...

“The Elijah Company Missionary Training Camp jump-started my missions career.”

“This is the most instructive and informative training I’ve attended in the twenty one years of my walk with the Lord. I can say with so much assurance that God brought me here to America for this camp as a preparation ground for my call in missions. I could not have been anywhere better in the world this weekend.”

“You could definitely see that Jesus is alive at the camp.”

“It exposed for me my shortcomings when it comes to missionary service and intensified my longing to glorify God among the nations.”

“Great intro to missions preparation. Practical, broad range of topics with excellent content outlined in a large notebook for future reference. The section of breaking strongholds is worth the entire camp cost. If linked to individual mentoring afterward, any more people would probably attempt cross-culture missions abroad or in the States.”

“Very professional and well presented.”

“Great teaching on areas that are central but so often neglected in missions: Personal spiritual maturity, intercession, evangelism.”

“It was a great balance of spiritual issues and concepts with the practical and strategic that are a part of ministry here or overseas. I learned that I have a long way to go in preparation but I know specific areas that need work and improvement.”

“I believe this is an excellent tool in preparing people for the missions field. It causes people to count the cost before making final decisions. It opens new thoughts and ideas for the those planning to go.”

“Four days of intense, deep reflection on the realities of life as a missionary and the importance of the calling, whether you’ve got it or not; whether your ready or not.”

“The Elijah Company Missionary Training Camp was a very informative and valuable session. I would recommend this to all churches and those unsure of their calling.”

“I found it to be a time of focus on missions. It was informative, restorative and applicable.”
